Betrayal and Trust : The passages of Pluto With Lynn Bell. The passages of Pluto often shred our innocence, and thrust us into a world of changed meaning, fraught with danger, and anxiety. Betrayal is one of the archetypal expressions of Pluto, whether it is the necessary betrayal of our tribe, the pressure to go against our own values, or the feeling of being cheated by life.. Nothing shakes our foundations more than what Hillman calls "love's torturous enchantments". Jealously and betrayal may lead to destructive rage, to cynicism or despair, to the closing of the heart; and yet the experience of betrayal may also bring an initiation into our own nature, to the deeper levels of trust in life and in our own capacity for renewal. We well look at how Pluto transits and natal aspects describe these initiations, and how the Moon helps return us to trust. Bring copies of charts on transparencies should you wish to work. A seminar at the Centre for Psychological Astrology, BCM Box 1815, London, WC1 3XX 0208 749 2330 www.cpalondon.com. Venue: London.

Collective Cosmic Cycles in Solar Returns With Karen Hamaker-Zondag. Even when important aspects between the outer planets in heaven don't affect your birth chart by transit, they still can have a big impact on you, because these aspects can be part of an important solar or lunar return 2010 will confront us with the Saturn-Pluto square, and in July with the T-square between Saturn, Pluto and Uranus, and for a short while also Jupiter. Using examples we will look at some general rules to delineate the solar return, and then focus on collective issues and how they affect us personally through the solar return. A seminar at the Centre for Psychological Astrology, BCM Box 1815, London, WC1 3XX 0208 749 2330 www.cpalondon.com. Venue: London.

2012 - The Astrology of What's Really Going to Happen A Seminar by Alison Chester-Lambert. The Year 2012 has become the target of many frightening doomsday theories and the prediction of a cataclysmic event. All because some fans of the ancient Maya civilisation tell us that a ‘Long Count’ ends. What does that mean? Alison takes a look at all the hype and gossip from a sensible astrological point of view, covering the astrology of collective fear, explaining the bad astronomy of the incorrect Galactic Alignment theory, the probability of a magnetic flip, the possibility they have the wrong solstice, the planet Nibiru and examining the potential of the Venus transit and aspects. By the time she has finished, you will be looking forward to the opportunity this special year offers. Seminar starts 2pm. Cost £20. Pre-seminar Carvery Sunday Lunch available. (£6) A friendly, social and networking event - come alone and meet people. There will also be stalls. Venue: The Moat House, Lichfield Road, Tamworth. Near Birmingham. Vocation With Liz Greene. The term 'vocation' comes from the Latin vocare, to call, and the history of the word is rooted in religious ideas about being 'called' by God or the gods to fulfil a special destiny. While some people may be content to have jobs they enjoy, others need to feel they have a special path in life through which they can unfold the best of who they are in ways which are also viable in worldly terms. Still others are able to engage in work that does not 'call' them if they feel they have a vocation apart from the daily grind of earning a living. Vocation can involve worldly success, but equally it can inhibit success if it conflicts with economic and social pressures. Vocation can generate friendships and cement relationships, but it can also erode family ties and create ruptures in relationship. This seminar will explore the complex theme of vocation from psychological and astrological perspectives – who needs a vocation, what it might be, what might thwart or block it, and how it might appear through the configurations of the natal and progressed horoscopes. A seminar at the Centre for Psychological Astrology, BCM Box 1815, London, WC1 3XX 0208 749 2330 www.cpalondon.com. Venue: London.

2010: The Climax of Change With Alexander Schlieffen. Whenever Saturn, Uranus and Neptune meet in a sign, there is a fundamental change in cultural paradigms. This happens approximately every 700 years. Last time they met was in 1989. This was a historical turning point. It was the end of the old polarities between the eastern and the western world and the beginning of a multi-polar world. Now, 20 years later, Saturn and Uranus are opposing each other, and together with Pluto, Jupiter and a lunar eclipse they form a grand cross in June 2010. What does that mean for our present and future? We will look at the challenging aspects and see how to use the energies involved for our benefit. A seminar at the Centre for Psychological Astrology, BCM Box 1815, London, WC1 3XX. 0208 749 2330 www.cpalondon.com. Venue: London.

A Celestial Roadmap: The Current Planetary Transits Melanie Reinhart will explore the current and forthcoming major planetary configurations. These include the on-going set of oppositions of Saturn and Uranus, now also T-square to Pluto. The themes of these planets will be approached through their mythology and astrology, with a view to helping us understand where we are, and navigate our way through what life brings us during this time. The material will include a consideration of themes on our own charts. Venue: The Moat House, Lichfield Road, Tamworth. Near Birmingham. FFI: www.midlandsschoolofastrology.co.uk

Bad Things – Understanding our Darker Selves With John Green. Why do good people do bad things? Why do so-called ‘normal’ people commit evil deeds? Today we’ll look at how our unconscious continues to manifest in our lives until we become fully aware of it. What is going on in our chart when we avoid, deny, repress, split off, project and rationalise those parts of ourselves we don’t like? How does the Shadow manifest in our chart on both a personal and collective level and what do we do about it? Is evil truly out there or is it really in here? Mars: The Barbarian And The Aristocrat With Darby Costello. In our deep memories - coming down through the male side of our ancestry - Mars tells us about the weapons our ancestors used to keep our line alive. Without those weapons we would not be here today. With Saturn in Venus-ruled Libra, Mars must become canny and wise to keep itself in good shape, especially as Uranus is going into Aries. In this seminar we shall look at our Mars inheritance and inclinations, in order to develop awareness of when it is acting the thug and when it is acting with shining skill on behalf of ourselves and those we cherish and protect.
